You can't completely blame the Mercedes engine or the gearbox. He was the Technical Director after all, so it's his job to put the right people in the right places to get the job done. He's even been responsible for the odd dog of a car (MP4-19 anyone?). If I was Ralf though I'd be checking out the Ferrari and McLaren garages.. then Renault and BMW.. at least Toyota might have half a chance against their arch-enemy Honda I guess... :) Adrian Newey is a brilliant man, but he isn’t infallible.
