Spy Shot: Bahrain’s new F1 Team
At the start of the year, the Bahrain government purchased 30% of the McLaren Group under the name Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding. There is no question that Bahrain has a great interest in F1, but the McLaren purchase may be more to do with positioning Mercedes in the region and the potential development of a production plant in the country.
If the following photos are anything to go by, it seems another group in Bahrain have already produced 2 of their very own F1 cars!
It is believed that the cars do not conform to the 2007 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations. Apparently in testing they’re having a particularly bad time with cross winds causing breakage…

Driver dehydration is also a problem in the desert…

And of course there’s the usual problem of “graining” of the tyres..

Not to mention the underbelly creating so much aerodynamic flow it sucks the bottom of the car away leaving nothing but a [sea]shell of its former self.
Heh.. good one marc
I forgot to mention the cars bog down really bad in the rain too..
there probably more reliable than a Red Bull tho….
Stoney – And faster than a Spyker..
