To quote a famous sportswriter:
"The Brazilian Grand Prix was a rather unspectacular finish to the spectacular career of Michael Schumacher. He could have gone out with a win, but the pressure was too much. He missed a shot at qualifying well due to a fuel pickup problem, and ultimately his race was finished when he had a tyre failure."
Strange how people see things differently

IT WAS REALLY A GREAT RACE FROM THE FERRARI.BOTH KIMI AND MASSA WERE OUTSTANDING THROUGHOUT THE RACE.IN ALL THIS PRAISE FOR KIMI,ALONSO AND HAMILTON MASSA WAS TOTALLY FORGOTTEN.IN FACT MASSA RACED MORE BRILLIANTLY THAN ANY OTHER DRIVER.TO START FROM LAST PLACE AND FINISHING FIFTH WAS INDEED A GREAT PERFORMANCE.IT COULD SURELY HAVE BEEN A FERRARI 1-2 IF IT WAS NOT FOR THAT MASSA'S PROBLEM.MASSA'S RACE REMINDED ME OF THE LAST RACE OF MICHAEL SCHUMACHER WHERE HE STARTED 10th,OVERTOOK FISICHELLA IN THE EARLY LAPS,BUT THEN A DRAMATIC DAMAGE TO HIS TYRES,GONE BACK TO LAST AND AGAIN FOUGHT BACK BRAVELY AND JUST MISSED THE PODIUM.THIS IS THE REAL FIGHTING SPIRIT OF THE FERRARI DRIVERS.HATS OFF TO FELIPE MASSA AND ALSO KIMI RAIKONNEN

P.S. Stephen, you are right it was luck that kept Hamilton on the podium this race. Nice to have it when you need it.....

It is good thing Raikkonnen wasn't in that position because we all know what side of luck Kimi tends to be on ;)

Okay, Okay.....Kimi was fast, very fast (there I said it). I have always enjoyed watching him when he is on his game and he certainly was at Silverstone.

I won't make any excuses for Hamilton, although there is no argument that the car was slow and Hamilton made some mistakes. It makes no difference at the end of the day as one can't cross the finish line without the other (there are no special points awarded for "Fastest driver in the Slowest car or vice versa).

The competition is keeping things exciting, what a great season so far!

Lewis was having a problem with the car - he couldn't get it to go as fast as Kimi could get his Ferrari to go. Of course, the hyperbolic media were unlikely to be thinking along these lines when they spouted their "Lewis has a slow car" comments.

All I want to say is: Lewis is lucky that Massa had that accident at the start, otherwise he would surely be on the podium.
Both Kimi and Fernando did a great job during the entire race and it was really fun to watch them race, especially after the second pit stop. I just wish Fernando came out as a winner. :)

Really enjoyed this race...thought Alonso was fantastic (of course!) but Kimi seems so laid back about winning, he really is an interesting character.
Massa had a guaranteed podium place had he not stalled and it would have put an end to Lewis Hamiltons run.... Ferrari's have definately upped their game and made it a very interesting season now, can't wait!!

[...] Of course, Hamilton’s poor showing at the British Grand Prix could not possibly have had anything to do with Hamilton himself. The media were already making his excuses for him — even before the race was finished. After the race, ITV pundit Mark Blundell was adamant that Hamilton must have had a problem with his car. [...]

Nice to see Kimi is back in form. I think tyre choice was the key, Alonso did significantly better on his two soft one hard choice than Hamilton with the reverse strategy. Hamilton did end up a long way back but it was pretty clear he was cruising after stop 2. Its fantastic to have such a tight championship halfway in though!
