What a exciting race to watch...I love it when it becomes so unpredictable that you don't even want to step away for a minute (okay...so I was able to grab a bite to eat during the 15min. delay to restart).

I certainly learned a lot about some of rules of F1 that I was not that familiar with.

dScribe - I was thinking the same thing about Raikkonnen and the car breaking comments. You have to wonder is it just bad luck? Does his driving style stress the car that much more than his teammates? I don't know. I used to think that he just always pushed the cars beyond their limits but this has never been stated by either teams he has driven for.

So who would everyone like to see battling it out in the last race of the season for the championship? My vote goes for Hamilton and Raikkonnen. Two great young drivers, two fast cars....a first potential championship for both. I won't argue with Stephen though, I can't help but feel that it would be more deserved by Raikkonnen....only because of his years put in at Mclaren though of course ;)

vivio - Isn't it strange that McLaren was unreliable last year, but reliable this year? And Ferrari had great reliability for years and years but then this year....? :) And Renault have had the odd problem this year all of a sudden too.. Anyway, I hope reliability doesn't ruin the outcome of the championship (it's already hurt Kimi enough as it is, let's hope it doesn't effect him anymore or any of the other drivers).

Stephen - It's really great to see fans like you who have the strength to compliment drivers and teams that aren't your favourite. I know how hard it is while writing these columns so well done! :)

Yep.. both Lewis and Felipe are a bit too aggressive with their tendency to "defend at all costs" if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I like to see good racing but there's a big difference between giving someone room to race and being a d*ck :)

I'm with you.. I still rate Kimi. I felt so bad for him when he missed the pit entry. Although I did wonder whether he would have been pinged for cutting the previous corner. Let's hope he doesn't lose touch of the championship because it'd be awful to see him have to play 2nd fiddle to Massa.

I can't say that I was too disappointed to see Hamilton struggle. It makes him seem more human.. less infallible.. and above all it calms down the British media a bit! :)

Stephen, would you put money on Kimi at this stage? The guy is awesome (look at Melbourne) but luck and reliability always seem to be stacked against him :(

Paula - Really glad you like the column! We love having you read it too! ;) I like how you put it - "he got the car fast again". That's spot on. He wasn't the quickest at the beginning of the race but he constantly adjusted the front wing and tyre pressures to make sure he was the quickest when the conditions changed.

The rain always seems to provide an excellent Grand Prix Straight to the comments:

Alonso - Can't take anything away from him, brilliant (had to force my hand to type that!). You are correct, the fact that he had the balls to apologise when he knew he was wrong does speak volumes. If I wasn't a Ferrari man, who knows...

Massa - Just get the feeling that something is missing, like a little boy playing with the grown ups. In regards to the "swerve" - it was only the last race when you said the following "Lewis Hamilton - Somewhat lucky to get 3rd. Another poor start (I thought you can only change your racing line once?).. " - What's good for the goose......

Kimi - Well, Jason called it at the last race, if he has any kind of luck - it is bad. First they threw the rain at him and he missed the pits (he had noone to show him where the slippery bits were!). When that wasn't enough, his car breaks down. Still the man though in my book.

Hamilton - HA! Knew it couldn't last! Won't say anything against him rejoining the race otherwise I'll have the Mclaren fans reminding me of Schumi, although how can he be deemed to be in an unsafe position under a safety car?

Shaping up to be a great second half to the season with 4 drivers in the running. I bet Kimi will think it was well deserved after he's won it!
