2005 World Champion is.. Alex Zanardi!
Whether Fernando Alonso or Kimi Raikkonen wins the 2005 F1 World Championship doesn’t matter.. Alex Zanardi proved last weekend he is already a world champion this year by winning his first race since losing his legs back in 2001. Sure, it’s not F1, but what an inspirational story! He gets my vote for 2005 World Champion of.. err.. being a Champion! 
Zanardi won the 7th round of the World Touring Car Championship in a BMW320i. He walks and drives with the help of two prostheses.
