Last week Valentino Rossi tested for Ferrari again. More publicity stunts? This time I’m not so convinced..

He completed 3 days of testing and managed to clock up around 600 km. The first day was at Fiorano while the next 2 days were at the Mugello circuit. That’s quite an impressive set of testing for a simple publicity stunt.

The combination of Ferrari and Rossi is a marketing dream. Apart from the obvious Italian connection, Rossi would be able to bring an image of youth and fun to the Ferrari brand. Plus, if he’s as good in a car as he is on a bike then F1 will become very boring…
