Non-F1: Batman Ferrari Crash

Ferrari F360 Challenge Stradale Crash Batman Avenue Melbourne

While it’s not an F1 story, I couldn’t help but smile at a local story this week where a Melbourne man crashed his father’s Ferrari F360 Challenge Stradale. Nobody was injured (apart from the driver’s pride). The part I love is how the crash happened at “Batman Avenue”. Seriously, Batman Avenue? Shame Superman didn’t save the day… :P

  2. ozzmosis - Thanks for that! I had a quick search for “Batman Avenue” before doing the post but wasn’t able to pinpoint the history.. Thanks for the enlightenment! :)

  3. why dont you worrie about your self.. dont you have anything better to do than write about this shit.. all that matters is that the boys are OK.. who really cares about the farrari.. cars you can fix.. but you cant replace human body parts.. thats all that really matters..and dont worrie im sure they coud buy another 1 or maybe even 3 more.. so who cares what you say about it..

  4. cocko - Dude, go cry to the Sydney Morning Herald, not to us - they published the story. All we had to say was the name Batman Avenue is funny but Ozzmosis did a good job of educating us.

You do make one good point though - you can’t replace human body parts - maybe the driver should have thought about that before speeding on public roads hmmm??

  5. I dunno dScribe some people just don’t get it do they..a bit cuckoo if you ask me!

  6. cocko- You only made one intelligent comment while spouting off, “who really cares about the farrari” (or proper spelling for that matter). Now if that was a McLaren, we would have something to be upset about ;)
Apart from that…relax, your “boys” are okay apparently. The reckless idiot that you seem to sympathize with can get back behind the wheel of another one of his daddies cars and endanger some more innocent lives.

    dScribe-Keep up the good work!

  7. Paula & Jason - Thanks for the support :) It’s always refreshing to see the majority of people out there think straight and care about others :)

  8. He did make a mistake, but then sometimes things happen unintentionally, and may be u have to get behind someone when he makes mistakes, but that doesn’t mean he needs to be reprieved of his duties… Thank god there was no loss of lives… And i don’t think u require to be so negative about ferrari. don’t lie me u don’t dream a ferrari…

  10. Jason - if that was a Mclaren, he wouldn’t be going fast enough to have a crash like that! ;-)

Cocko - get a life dude!

  11. Parag - I dunno.. there’s a difference between making a mistake and being reckless. If he was 10kph over the speed limit then fine, it’s an easy mistake. But to crash your dad’s Ferrari you’d most likely have to be well over the speed limit..

Anyway, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a Ferrari or an old Ford - if you do the crime you do the time… ;)

Stephen - Hehe :D You’ve got to give the McLaren F1 road car some credit though? ;)
