Back in September we awarded David Coulthard with the Worst Facial Hair in F1. Recently it seems Top Gear has come up with a similar award - the silliest facial hair in motor sport. In their poll Fernando Alonso won the award - pipping Coulthard to the line.

Alonso’s winning efforts were mainly due to his “flavour saver”.. I personally thought some of his moustache attempts were more worthy - just waiting to whip out the sombrero and jump on the next train to Mexico..

The scary part about the whole thing is that some of the judges actually thought Coulthard’s facial hair looked good. What the..!? (© Rove McManus)
